Enjoy world-class wines from the Loire at The Crypt on Thursday, March 19th

Pascal Jolivet was voted Winemaker of the Year by “Wine Spectator”, his company has been voted Winery of the Year, and his wines have been favourites on Bleeding Heart lists for almost 30 years.
On Thursday, March 19, Pascal will give us our first taste of Spring when we team his Sancerre Les Caillottes with New Season’s White Asparagus and Crab Salad.  

Pascal will be hot-footing it straight from a guest appearance at the world’s largest wine show, Prowein in Düsseldorf, to take us through six of his wines in the magical Medieval Crypt in Ely Place, adjoining Bleeding Heart Yard including his limited production Pinot Noir Sancerre Rouge Sauvage 2014 from 60-year-old vines.

The cost of Chef Julian Marshall’s five-course menu and the six wines is £97.50 and includes water, VAT and service. The evening starts at 7.


Valdespino Sherry tasting

On Monday, March 23rd, Ben Howkins sherry expert and book writer, will
host a Valdespino sherry tasting at
St Swithins Wine Shippers.

The wine tasting will showcase on the night the following:

The cost of the Valdespino sherry tasting is £20 and includes VAT. The tasting starts at 6.30 pm.
